Petrol and Diesel: Delhi Only
| City | Petrol | Diesel | Effective From | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Delhi | Rs. 102.12 per litre | Rs. 95.20 per litre | 1 October 2026 | BPCL price build-up documents |
These are the 1 October 2026 document rates, NOT 28 October rates. Petrol and diesel pump rates revise daily at 6 AM, so always check the pump display before refuelling.
Fuel Prices Not Published Here
The following are deliberately absent, and the reasons are stated so that no reader mistakes an omission for an oversight:
Chennai and Jaipur CNG: figures were found on a calculator page that shows no effective date. This site never publishes an undated price, so both cities stay off this page until a dated distributor source is found.
Petrol and diesel for Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Ahmedabad, Jaipur and Lucknow: no primary source was verified for these cities at build time. The oil companies’ public price pages do not carry city petrol and diesel tables, and aggregator figures are never used as a substitute. These cities are added only when a primary document verifies them.
No “coming soon” promise is made for any held city, and no date is promised for any held rate.
How Fuel Prices Revise in India
Petrol and diesel prices are revised daily at 6 AM IST by the oil marketing companies. CNG prices are revised by each city-gas distributor when it issues a new revision, on no fixed daily cycle. Because the cycles differ, every rate on this site is dated to its own revision, and a page is updated only when its own source revises.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which fuel prices are published on this page?
CNG prices for 8 cities, each from that city’s own gas distributor, and Delhi petrol and diesel from BPCL documents. Every rate on this page carries its own effective date and its own source link.
Why is petrol and diesel listed for Delhi only?
Because Delhi is the only city for which a primary document was verified at build time: the BPCL price build-up documents effective 1 October 2026. Petrol and diesel for other cities are not listed here, because no primary source was verified for them, and aggregator figures are never substituted.
Why are Chennai and Jaipur CNG not listed?
Because their CNG figures were found only on a calculator page that shows no effective date, and this site never publishes an undated price. Both cities stay off this page until a dated distributor source is found for them.
When do fuel prices revise in India?
Petrol and diesel prices revise daily at 6 AM IST. CNG prices revise when the city-gas distributor issues a new revision, which can be weeks or months apart. LPG cylinder prices revise monthly on the 1st, and are covered on a separate page.
Where can I check the latest rate before refuelling?
On the source linked in each row: the distributor’s own rates page for CNG, and the BPCL build-up documents for Delhi petrol and diesel. For petrol and diesel, the pump display itself is the final check, because daily revisions reach pumps first.
Method and Correction Note
Rates on this page are updated from the declared sources only. If a rate is found to be wrong, it is corrected with a fresh date and source. Unverified figures are omitted, not estimated.
