Sony Ericsson has just made available for download on its site to developers an alpha version of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It is not yet fully usable, but can get an idea of what will give ICS on Xperia.
It seems far away when Sony Ericsson dragged a shot for the reputation of updates to its Android smartphones. The manufacturer has completely revised its conduct. It has been very responsive on all products in its range Xperia 2011. Better, he announced that all its smartphones released this year would benefit from upgrading to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS). Sony Ericsson will now further since released a ROM (firmware) in alpha of ICS for its smartphones! The manufacturer says it is aimed to users in the most advanced, and it can not be used for everyday use. Many things are already running well above as you can you know it for yourself in the video. It is compatible for sure with the Xperia Arc S, Neo V (V Kyno by us) and Ray as the latest software 4.0.2.A.0.42. The manufacturer does not give these models to be compatible, but the only two states that do not really have to be the Xperia Arc and Kyno (Neo) due to different partition systems. What about the Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, and Pro Play based on the same basis as other hardware? No word on the subject of the manufacturer at the moment. But the list of what does not show how this is an alpha version. Thus, there is no service from Google and Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, radio and SIM card reader are not enabled. It is therefore impossible to use it to make calls. The only purpose of this alpha firmware seems to be for the manufacturer to show the progress of its work. If you have one of the Xperia released this year and want to try the experiment is on the manufacturer’s website as it happens.
