While Intel dominates the desktop market for a long time, but the company is still finds difficultly to market mobile products. The Intel Bay Trail processor is going to bring change this year. Export data has shown that the Korean company Samsung has been working on a tablet / PC with Intel Bay Trail processor which is much expected this year.
The information we have received in the hands unfortunately does not give full details, it is explicitly stated that the product is not for sale and is intended solely for research and development. The specified identifier also indicates that the product contains the system, keyboard and screen. It seems that it’s not a standard tablet, like the Galaxy Tab or Galaxy Note, but a so-called convertible.
The news comes incidentally as a complete surprise, because in April Kirk Skaugen showed Intel’s upcoming “Bay Trail” Atom processor is aimed at the low-end market with convertible tablet PCs running Windows 8 or Android. According to Skaugen the Bay Trail chip should bring a revolution in the field of cheap notebooks, ultrabooks and tablets.
