The BlackBerry Torch 9810 (popularly known as the Torch 2) and is the official successor to the popular BlackBerry Torch 9860. The Torch 9800, like its predecessor, it has 3.2-inch Liquid Graphics touchscreen and a slide out QWERTY keyboard. The main innovations are that the screen resolution is increased (from 480 to 640 x 360 x 480 pixels) and that this standard model runs on the new BlackBerry OS 7. Apart from this, it includes, BlackBerry Messenger 6, with which you can continue to chat while you are using an application. By default you can also find pre-installed apps for Twitter and Facebook. 5-megapixel camera and videos with 720p HD quality are also included. Furthermore, the processor (now a single-core 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon chip) has a boost, increasing the performance benefits. The memory is doubled (from 4GB to 8GB, still expandable with microSD). 3G/HSDPA, WiFi and push email provides fast mobile internet and the BlackBerry Browser supports HTML5. Navigation is possible by GPS, digital compass and built-in BlackBerry Maps. With speech-to-text translation you can search for files, email, contacts and music. You can even search the web – without ever having to typing. The BlackBerry Torch 9810 can also be used for tethering, which means that you can use the phone as a wireless modem for as your laptop for example. The pre-installed Docs-To-Go app allows Office files to view and edit. Together with Torch 9810, a full-touch BlackBerry 9860 Torch is been launched.
