The Nexus Q is a social streaming media player created and developed by American multinational corporation, Google Inc. The device runs version 4.0 of the Android operating system, Ice Cream Sandwich, and integrates with Google Play. The device is powered by a dual-core TI OMAP4460 CPU with PowerVR SGX540 graphics and 1GB of RAM.
You can simply use the Google Play and YouTube apps on your Android phone or tablet to surf an ocean of music, TV, movies and videos, and Nexus Q will play it all on the biggest speakers and screen in the house. To use the device you simply need to tap it once, and then through NFC, your phone or tablet will load up the Nexus Q application.
Finally, you can tell it what media files to play from your device. The Nexus Q can also act as an amplifier and will allow users to plug in additional speakers to it. The device also has a touch sensor that allows users to mute the currently playing audio/video by just touching the device.
