As the Christmas is coming, Microsoft has decided to recall the developers and users for opportunities offered by Windows Phone, in terms of profits and availability of applications. The Company announced that the Windows Phone Store there are now over 200,000 apps, while the number of transactions has exceeded 12 million per day. With the arrival on the market of new Nokia smartphones and the ability to use the Gift Card, the results are expected even more encouraging for the future.

Windows Phone certainly cannot compete with Android and iOS, the operating systems that dominate the mobile market for several years. However, there is obvious progress made by the Microsoft platform, especially with Windows Phone 8. The availability of a wide choice of models to suit all budgets (Nokia Lumia series) and the excellent applications developed by the Finnish manufacturer have attracted many users.

Even if it has more quality than quantity, the 200,000 app published on the Windows Phone Store represent a “psychological threshold” for consumers, who often use this number as a measure of comparison of the digital stores. More important is the arrival of top apps, like Instagram , Vine and games, like Angry Bird Go

To allow users to download the latest news, Microsoft suggests developers to submit their apps by 16 and 20 December. The Company provides other tips that can have positive effects in terms of gain and popularity: Enable trials, create bigger, integrate some features and update the app frequently (at least every 10 days).
