The developers of Google are working on the version of Chrome for Windows 8. Even the Mountain View Company did not want to miss the appointment with the next Microsoft operating system and thus continue the challenge with Firefox on the desktop browser market. This is confirmed by a spokesman for Google.
At the moment there are no clear plans for Google, but interpreting the words of the spokesperson, it appears that Chrome will be released in two distinct versions (desktop and Metro):
“Our goal is to offer our users a fast, easy and safe by all platforms, including the Metro and desktop versions of Windows 8. To this end, we are developing a version of Chrome Metro and improving the desktop in Windows 8 by adding, for example, enhanced support to the touch.”
This means that users of tablet Windows 8 will use the current version of the browser for Windows 7 is optimized for the touchscreen, while PC users will enjoy the traditional version of Chrome. All this will be possible only if the alternative browsers to Internet Explorer 10 can be set as the default viewer. The interface Metro, in fact, allows you to run one browser at a time, the default.
