Over the last few days have been made available the latest versions of Facebook and Twitter applications in the BlackBerry App World, while expanding its compatibility with Wikitude smartphone is equipped with BlackBerry OS 6.
Updates to the Facebook for BlackBerry playbook include:
- Groups on Facebook – You can share content and interact with groups on the BlackBerry playbook. Users can view the groups they are members, post updates, photos and video, but also look at the profiles of other members of the group and send messages. In addition, receive notifications about new posts and interactions in groups.
- Access to the media – access to photos and videos on the profile of friends is made easier by the new tools that have been introduced. Just click on the photos or videos to load the media type that matches your profile.
Updates Twitter application for BlackBerry smartphones include:
- Support multi-accounting – With this application you can have up to five accounts. Users can switch between accounts and post tweets and retweets without changing the display of the current account.
- Enhanced features ‘Share BBM’ – The new updates allow you to easily share their tweets with BBM contacts and groups.
- A single timeline for multiple Twitter accounts – Users can see the tweet streams of different accounts (up to a maximum of five) on the timeline of social feed, or choose to filter out individual accounts.
- Publication of a tweet to multiple accounts – Each tweet can be published simultaneously on one or more Twitter accounts, using social feeds.
The Twitter version 2.0 application for BlackBerry smartphones is available for users who use the BlackBerry operating system 5.0 and above. The integration of multi-accounts with social feeds is available for users who use the BlackBerry OS 6 and above.
