Intel announces two new Education Tablets for students

Until a few years ago when there was talk about tablet PC, it came immediately to our mind the ‘Apple iPad. But now the situation has completely changed, the popularity of digital tablets based on the Google Android operating system has been increasing day by day.

The reason is obvious: unlike iOS, Android system offers greater customization to users and also different configuration options for producers, with the result that in the market we can find products to suit all tastes and budgets.

Intel Education Tablet 7 for students

There are of course the devices intended exclusively to the school environment, and one of the leading companies that have decided to make a bet in that regard is Intel, which produces the processors for most of the computers in the world.

The information technology giant has just introduced two new “Education Tablet” in an official manner just dedicated to the education sector, with different services and applications designed specifically for students and teachers.

The first model shows a display of multi-touch capacitive screen with a diagonal of 7 inches and a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. The RAM memory amounts to 1 GB and the processor is the Intel Atom Z2420, able to ensure a good balance between performance and power consumption.

The Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system is installed with customized and different app exclusively dedicated to learning. For example, we can find the programs like “My Notes” to take notes and “eReader “to read digital books.

The internal flash memory is 8 GB, expandable freely up to a maximum of 32 GB through the microSD slot. Then there are the two classic cameras, a front-facing VGA camera for video calls via Wi-Fi and a 2-megapixel rear camera.

The second model has a multi-touch 10-inch with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. In this case, the processor is the Intel Atom Z2460 with an operating frequency of 1.6 GHz and the ROM amounts to 16 GB, is not expandable as the microSD slot is absent.
