The Asian firm became the last in CeBIT to display the new GIGABYTE U2442 Laptop. The device will be sold in versions with the new Intel Core i5/i7 low power and should be available during the second half of this year.
GIGABYTE is committed to a sober design, its specification includes a chassis of 18.5 mm. thick (20.5 mm. in the rear) and a weight to be around 1.5 kilos, depending on the configuration of the computer. Besides the new buses from Intel, the GIGABYTE U2442 will have 4 Gb of RAM, NVIDIA 640M and SSD storage options or traditional hard drive.
The GIGABYTE ultra book features a 14-inch panel (1,600 x 900 pixels) with LED backlight and integrated sound system is certified by THX. The connectivity will be the key in this type of device and solves GIGABYTE its proposal by providing support for WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 3.0, HDMI and VGA, among others. The top model, U2442V, also carry a Thunderbolt port.
The Gigabyte U2442 Price in India and the release date are still not announced but should be available during the second half of the year. We will update this story as more information becomes available.
