Microsoft has announced its first set of tablets manufactured under the name Microsoft Surface. Microsoft Surface Series includes unique hardware features such as inbuilt kickstand and magnesium housing with high-end PVD finish. These two models are Surface Microsoft Windows RT and Microsoft Surface Windows 8 Pro.
Physically, the tablet Microsoft Windows 8 Surface Pro is thicker than the tablet Microsoft Windows RT Surface 13.6mm getting to measure compressed compared to Win RT of 9.3 mm. It is rumored that the Windows tablet RT is powered by a Tegra processor 3 chipset, while the Windows version 8 Pro includes an Intel Core i5.
Difference between Microsoft Surface Windows RT & Windows 8 Pro
Both tablets come with a 10.6 inch touch screen, but the resolution on the tablet Surface Windows 8 Pro includes a full HD 1080p, while the model Windows Surface RT is equipped with a 1366 x 768 pixels. In terms of connectivity, the tablet Microsoft Surface Windows 8 Pro comes equipped with a slot microSDXC, USB 3.0, Mini DisplayPort Video and 2 × 2 MIMO antennae, while the Microsoft Surface Windows RT has microSD, USB 2.0, Micro HD Video, 2 × 2 MIMO antennae.
Storage options are 64 GB and 128 GB in Windows 8 Pro Surface model compared with 32 and 64 GB in Windows Surface RT. The most interesting feature of this series by Microsoft Surface is that the cover doubles as a keyboard.
Microsoft Surface Series is expected to be launched in the third quarter of 2012. Its retail price is estimated at $ 960.00 U.S. dollars.
